Cristiano Ronaldo's ambition to become the world's best paid footballer

Posted by TR On 07:07

Cristiano Ronaldo's ambition to become the world's best paid footballer is causing a growing rift with Real Madrid that has opened the door to  Europe's big-spending clubs. He has already declared before that "he is not happy at Madrid, and it's a professional reason.Russian-owned Chelsea, along with Arab-backed Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, head the list of interested parties as the 27-year-old agitates for a huge pay rise to bring him into line with high earner Samuel Eto'o.

Main reason Why so??

1) Ronaldo's salary at Real Madrid sees him 10th in the high earners' list at £7.98 million net, around half what Eto'o earns at rich Russian club Anzhi, behind the likes of Messi, Rooney,Torres, Ibrahimovic etc.His immediate target is a 50 per cent increase to around £11.8 million net.

2) It is further complicated by Ronaldo's dissatisfaction at his image rights - 50 per cent of which are owned by the club - and Spain's revised tax laws

3)Before Ronaldo is governed by 'Beckham's Law', the regulation which stipulates Real must pay 24 per cent tax.
But with Spain's economy in turmoil, that figure has been increased to 52 per cent.

Liverpool find their first win against Norwich

Posted by TR On 00:49

Liverpool beat Norwich city 5-2 to secure their first win in 6 games after a frustrating start. Suarez scored his second hat trick in the EPL and also against Norwich City.

Liverpool started with three changes from the team against Manchester United last week. Nuri Sahin replaced Jonjo Shelvey, Wisdom came in for Injured Kelly and Suso replaced Borini. Luis Suarez opened the scoring in just 64 sec, before adding another just before the break to give Brendan Rodgers' side a comfortable lead at half-time.

The Uruguayan set up Nuri Sahin for a tap-in and Suarez curled in shot for his hat-trick before Steve Morison drove in an effort for the home side.Steven Gerrard's deflected strike added Liverpool's fifth, while Grant Holt angled in a shot for a late home goal.
It is the second hat-trick Suarez has scored at Carrow Road in consecutive seasons and was the culmination of a Liverpool display in which they had passed and purred their way to victory. The "ole"'s were ringing out from the Reds fans towards the end of the game and, while an inspired Suarez will rightly steal the headlines, 18-year-old playmaker Suso also caught the eye. He was making his first Premier League start along with right-back Andre Wisdom.

Liverpool, like Norwich, had argued that their performances had not been reflected in results but neither side could have any such complaints after a game in which the Canaries succumbed to their dominant visitors. The home side did not help themselves with the type of poor defending which led to Liverpool's opener.Canaries centre-back Michael Turner could only clear Glen Johnson's pass to Suarez and he clinically drilled a shot into the bottom corner.
The visitors were swarming all over the home side, but Simeon Jackson had a chance to provide Norwich with a lifeline. He met a cross to the far post with a first-time shot only for Reds keeper Pepe Reina to smartly save.Jackson also volleyed wide for Norwich and an equaliser would have given Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers another reason to complain to referees' chief Mike Riley again as, earlier on, Suarez was denied a penalty following a clumsy Leon Barnett challenge.
Gerrard had a header saved before Suarez should have had his second when he was clean through on goal only to put his effort wide. The Liverpool striker quickly made amends as he caught a napping Turner in possession and curled a shot past keeper John Ruddy with the outside of his foot.

Chelsea wins London Derby

Posted by TR On 00:34

Torres and Mata paired up to win the derby match against Arsenal when Arsenal meet their first defeat this season. Chelsea are on top of the EPL table with 16 points now.

The former Liverpool striker opened the first goal from a set piece from Mata, which finds Torres on the far post. Koscielny can't hold back Torres. Torres just lift  his right leg and push the ball into the net on a volley. 22 minutes later, Gervinho equalized from a low cross from youngster Chambelian just before half time.
Parity was short-lived, however, when Arsenal’s early second-half momentum was killed stone dead as a result of more horrendous defending from a fizzing, in-swinging Mata set-piece that took a slight nick off Koscielny before nestling in the far corner of Vito Mannone’s net.

Santi Cazorla, the jewel in Arsenal’s crown, nearly created an unlikely equaliser when his jinking run and subsequent cross was prodded just past his own post by Luiz.

The diminutive Spaniard's influence was largely curtailed by a hardworking Chelsea midfield, but the former Malaga man created a golden chance in injury-time for Giroud.

The France international opened his account for his new club in the League Cup on Wednesday but his confidence will have taken another dent when he skewed his shot into the side-netting having shown decent poise to round Cech.
That flurry of activity aside, however, Chelsea protected their lead with a calmness that suggests their stay at the Premier League summit may well be a long one.

Sevilla stunned by brilliant Barca

Posted by TR On 00:17

Sevilla were 2 -0 up in the game until  Fabregas make it to 2-1 in the 53rd minute. And then added another in the 83rd minute to make it 2-2. Then in the extra time (93rd min) David Villa make the winning goal hit the back of the net .

Barca were controlling the game since the start but a mistake pass from Busquets to Messi led to the first goal for Sevilla by Trochowski in the 26 th minute. It was clear from the start that Sevilla were going to rely on the counterattack in order to threaten the visitors, and the Rojiblancos broke at speed in the 26th minute. Medel's effort from distance was deflected off of Javier Mascherano and straight to the feet of Trochowski. The German shifted the ball onto his left and rifled a shot past Valdes, with the keeper's weak hand not enough to keep it out.

Barca almost silenced the raucous crowd by drawing level just seconds later. Fabregas challenged Palop for a lofted cross into the box and although the ball fell to Messi just 12 yards from goal, Hedwiges Maduro's excellent block kept the hosts ahead.

Sevilla, though, took charge of the game from then on and three minutes into the second half they doubled their lead. Sergio Busquets' pass was intercepted by Medel and he fedNegredo between Alexandre Song and Mascherano. The striker held off the challenge of the Cameroonian before dinking a delightful finish over the onrushing keeper.

The Blaugrana were unperturbed and, after Pedro saw his volley cleared off the line, they halved the deficit with 53 minutes played. A brilliant piece of interplay ended with a loose pass falling to Fabregas, who curled home an accurate effort from 20 yards.

Jose Mourinho's Celebration Vs Manchester United

Real Madrid sink Machester City : Match report

Posted by TR On 15:02

Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov  gave the visitors the lead in the 69th and 85th minutes, before goals from Marcelo and Karim Benzema equalized in the 76th and 87th minute. And Ronaldo find his final laugh at the 89'30"minute leading Real Madrid to its first win.

It was a difficult game for both the teams. Real Madrid started attacking since the first whistle with Marcelo, Ronaldo, Di Maria, Essein and Sami Khadera looking for a slip in before the D-box. But the Manchester City defending line was too strong to break in .But there were many times where Real madrid almost score. But thanks to Hart and his reflexes. It was 0-0 at the first half end.
Toure, who had looked City's biggest threat all night long, broke out of the midfield again to create a two-on-one attack and this time successfully found his target with a simple through ball. Dzeko took the pass in his stride and beat Casillas with a composed, low left-footed finish.

Ozil had already been thrown into the fray and Modric and Benzema were quickly introduced as Mourinho sought to salvage something from the match, but Toure almost doubled the lead when released by Carlos Tevez, shooting narrowly wide.

The Spanish champions immediately looked more dangerous in the final third following the changes, though, and Marcelo curled a right-footed shot into the top corner after shaking off Kompany just outside the penalty area.

Set-pieces have troubled Madrid all season, and after Pablo Zabaleta had failed to get contact on Carlos Tevez's low cross, Kolarov delivered a free kick that found its way into the back of the net after flying without interference past defenders and attackers alike.

Incredibly, though, there was more to come and Mancini's celebrations on the sideline were short-lived. Benzema was next to strike after a mazy run from Di Maria, turning on the edge of the box and firing a powerful, low shot into the bottom corner.

And City's hearts were broken when Ronaldo stepped inside Zabaleta – who had relieved Maicon of his duties of marking the Portugal star – and released a dipping shot that beat the partially obscured Hart after Kompany had put himself in the way of the ball but failed to head clear.

The former Madrid president Calderon slams Jose Mourinho

Posted by TR On 02:23

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon feels that head coach Jose Mourinho was wrong to criticise his team in the aftermath of Real Madrid's 1-0 defeat to Sevilla.
However, Calderon believes that the Madrid players could just as easily complain about Mourinho in the current situation.

"Mourinho's comments don't help the team in any way. The players could just as easily say that they don't have a coach right now," Calderon stated to RAC1.

"It would be better to see these losses as incidents. I imagine that the players are not too happy with Mourinho's comments.

"I believe that the team is fully committed to the team. The players are giving their all out there on the pitch."

Madrid have already dropped eight points in the opening weeks of the 2012-13 campaign, and sit only 11th in the Liga table.

EPL : Toward the Upcoming January Transfer

Posted by TR On 01:52

Summer Transfer have just closed, with Manchester City And Tottenham Hotspur made most of their signing in the last hours. And now the International break is going on . And a thinking time for all the team managers.

For Liverpool  Brendan Rodgers  have hinted that if Pepe Reina doesn't improve by January transfer window, He might be replaced. And if news are to be believed, Liverpool is monitoring the young German keeper Marc-AndrĂ© ter Stegen. And may be a new striker is likely to be added after, they failed to sign Dempsey or Sturridge in this transfer window.

And coming to Manchester United, with the arrival of Robin Van Persie, Sir Alex  is in great headache to place both Rooney and RVP in the starting line up. But due to Rooney's injury against Fulham, RVP will be starting till Rooney is fit. The former Gunner has already proved by scoring a Hattrick against Southaptom. With new signings coming in , players like to go in January window is Nani and Anderson. Nani has lost his form since a quite a long time. And Anderson has been frequently out with injuries. Already Manchester United has lots of injuries. Vidic has just returned this season after a long break. On the other hand Kagawa is a perfect fit in the squad with some great display in the last few games. With Giggs and Scholes already far beyond their retirement ages , Ferguson have to consider carefully to replace them. And if Man U wanted for fight for the tittle and Champions League, it will be a priority, because they have high injury problem last year too.

For City, there no much to talk about. with the addition of  Maicon, Jack Rodgwell etc, they have got a quite strong squad. And the most exciting thing for City is that their hero TEVZ is back. So, we don't see any activity from Vity during Jsnusry transfer.

For Arsenel, It has been a custom for main players to leave one after another. With Walcott  refusing to sign another contract, he will be leaving this January for sure. And Arsene Wenger should go for another finisher. With the departure of Song and Van Persie, Arsenel have nothing to woory about funds.

Tottenham have signed some good players but with the departure of players like Lucka Modric and Van der Wart, Have the Spurs sign any replacement for the two??. Missing out on Moutinho will be a regret for AVB. They have got Gylfi and Dembele , and also Adebayor for permanent. So don't expect any activity fro Spurs During January window
And coming to the another large spender this summer, Chelsea might be moving for Falcao. Even after big additions with the likes of Hazard brothers, Oscar, Victor Mosses, they still want another striker to pair with Torres.
Seeing the signings made by each team this summer, January transfer window will be a comparatively quite one, with just few big names to be involved.

Rooney: Messi is better than Ronaldo

Posted by TR On 10:52

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney rates Lionel Messi higher than former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, and says the Barcelona star is the best player in the history of the game.
The Messi v Ronaldo debate is one that is unlikely to ever be unanimously settled, with both player staking claims to be considered among the finest players ever seen.
Rooney, though, is firmly in the Messi camp and revealed his thoughts on the 25-year-old in a Q&A on his official Facebook page.
"I just think the way he plays the game and the goals he scores - he just looks spectacular," Rooney said when asked why Messi is better than Ronaldo.
"In my eyes anyway, Messi is the best ever."
Messi scored a 73 goals for Barcelona last season during a quite breathtaking campaign for the Catalan giants, with his remarkable tally the best return ever by a player in European football.
The Argentina international also became Barca's highest ever scorer, and his record with the club now stands at 259 goals in 333 appearances during eight years at the Nou Camp.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, has scored 150 goals in 149 games for Real Madrid, since leaving Manchester Unitedfor the Bernabeu in 2009 for a record £80 million.

Ronaldo ‘sad’ at Madrid

Posted by TR On 20:24

CRISTIANO RONALDO last night rocked Real Madrid as he sensationally admitted: “I am sad.”

The Portuguese hitman scored twice as Jose Mourinho’s side beat Granada 3-0 to register their first La Liga win of the season. But Ronaldo, who went off with a leg injury in the second half, did not celebrate either goal. And when asked why, the former Manchester United ace said: “I am sad and the club knows it, that’s why I didn’t celebrate the goals.”Ronaldo added that he was upset for “professional” reasons but refused to elaborate further.

Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo admitted he was unhappy with the club after he refused to celebrate his goals in the win over Granada.
The Portuguese was the catalyst behind his side’s first win of the new La Liga season on Sunday but his lack of elation on the back of two landmark strikes was the main talking point after the game, a storyline he developed on after full time.
“I’m sad because of a professional issue and the club know why. That’s why I didn’t celebrate the goals, because I’m not happy. The people [at the club] know why.” he told reporters after the match.
“It’s nothing to do with Iniesta [winning European player award]. I won’t talk about this any more and I will concentrate on Portugal for now. There are more important things [than this].”
“The people at the club know about this. I can’t say any more.”
